Growing traditions since the 1970s
Christmas trees have been grown at Loudoun Nursery since the early 1970s, and they remain at the heart of the farm today.
Over the years, the nursery has continued planting, learning and adapting while keeping a practical approach to growing healthy plants and creating a welcoming place for customers to visit.
Now, the next generation of the family is helping shape what comes next.

Christmas trees remain the centerpiece of Loudoun Nursery, but the farm continues to evolve.
Living trees and fabric-container growing remain an important part of the nursery, while peonies, dahlias and other seasonal flowers are becoming part of the next chapter.
The farm also provides a naturally beautiful setting for family photography and seasonal photo sessions.
The fabric-grown advantage
Fabric containers are an important part of the way Loudoun Nursery grows many trees and plants.
Air pruning encourages dense, fibrous roots instead of long circling roots. That helps make plants easier to move and can support stronger establishment after transplanting.
Flowers are becoming part of the story
Peonies and dahlias are helping shape the next chapter of Loudoun Nursery, with flower sales planned to begin in Spring 2027.
Plans include fresh-cut flowers as well as selected bag-grown plants customers can take home and enjoy beyond a single bloom.
